"Hong Kong, 10 October 2008 ¨C Celestial Pictures has been invited to screen the mobile title Kung Fu Tutorial - The 8 Diagram Pole at the MIPCOM¡¯s Mobile & Internet Screenings Selection on Monday 13 October 2008. This submission is the only work that represents Greater China to be selected for this year¡¯s screening in ¡°Mobile TV & Film Projects¡± category. In 2007, Celestial Pictures had submitted King Boxer mobisodes series and won the ¡°Best Short Film Originally Created or Repurposed For Mobile¡± at the MIPCOM Mobile and Internet TV Award.
Kung Fu Tutorial - The 8 Diagram Pole is a two-minute martial arts tutorial featuring ¡°bite-size¡± segments of kung fu film clips and performance from a kung fu master from the Celestial¡¯s Shaw Brothers masterpiece The Eight Diagram Pole Fighter.

This mobile clip is adapted from the Shaw Brothers kung fu classic The Eight Diagram Pole Fighter, well-known as a posthumous masterpiece to immortalise international idol Alexander Fu Sheng on his final and unfinished performance. Directed by Liu Chia-liang and starred Gordon Liu, the movie created unparalleled emotional intensity and kung-fu power. There are heartbreaking references to the star¡¯s death throughout, but the stunning climax is truly unforgettable.
